Canada is back on the Croisette at the 79th edition of Cannes Film Festival.

Located at the heart of the Marché du Film, in the Village International, the Canada Pavilion is welcoming over 350 Canadian delegates and 150 Canadian companies ready to become your next partner!

On the festival side, the film DEATH HAS NO MASTER (thriller – a Canada, Venezuela, Italy, and Luxembourg coproduction) by Jorge Thielen Armand is featured in the Directors’ Fortnight(site externe) , and the short SKINNY BOOTS from Romain F. Dubois is selected Semaine de la Critique.

On the industry side, Canada also stands out for its strong participation of screen professionals.

Canada Showcase - Cannes Docs, Cannes Film Market

Now in its 8th edition, the Canada Showcase, an initiative of Telefilm Canada produced in partnership with Les Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal (RIDM), will take part in Cannes Docs. A curated selection of four feature-length documentaries in the final stages of completion will be pitched to an audience of accredited industry professionals. Over the years, Cannes Docs has spotlighted numerous Canadian documentaries that have gone on to achieve notable international success, earning prestigious awards and recognition on the global festival circuit.

ImpACT Lab - Cannes Film Market

Telefilm Canada is pleased to be a partner of the Cannes Film Market 5th edition of impACT Lab(site externe) , a program dedicated to fostering international coproductions, and to support two emerging producers.

Not Short On Talent (NSOT) - Cannes Short Film Corner

Telefilm Canada is also delighted to showcase its flagship Not Short on Talent program at the Cannes Short Film Corner. This year, eight new short films will be presented to the industry. The selected filmmakers will benefit from exclusive mentorship opportunities, including training sessions and a dedicated pitch event. All seven films will be accessible through the Short Film Corner’s Video Library.

Proof of Concept and Buyers Showcase - Frontières

Finally, don’t miss the three Canadian projects by emerging talent featured in the Proof of Concept and Buyers Showcase sections of Frontières. Recognized as the world’s leading international co-production and networking market for genre films, Frontières connects financiers and creators from Europe and North America.
