This panel is all about gender equality in the film industry. Telefilm’s executive director, Christa Dickenson, is participating, along with some esteemed representatives from France, Germany, Sweden, the European Women’s Audiovisual Network, and many others.

All women, all docs, all Canadian projects sums up Canada’s presence at the Marché du Film’s Doc Corner! Pitching at this year’s Canadian Showcase are four documentaries directed and produced by women. For this Doc Corner initiative, Telefilm has partnered with Hot Docs and the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM). The diverse selection of projects ranges from up-and-comers to well-established creative teams, and was curated by Hot Docs and RIDM.

Featuring a great line up of speakers, this talk will include info from a recent study conducted by Telefilm and the CMF in partnership with Pôle médias HEC Montréal, and Badel Media.

Canadian selection: The Annecy festival has included the Canadian film Archipel (animated documentary) directed by Félix Dufour-Laperrière in their program “Annecy goes to Cannes”, a showcase of animated films in production presented at the Cannes market.
19/05 − 12:00 – 2:00Cannes Fantastique
A new project from the Cannes Marché du film, which will focus on the industry of fantastic cinema. MIF will organize a special day, where it will introduce 7 projects from around the world presented by the following international festivals: Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, Cairo International Film Festival, Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara, Macao International Film Festival, SXSW and TIFF.
