Telefilm Canada is proud to join the EFM Diversity & Inclusion as a partner for the Fiction Toolbox Programme, aimed at entry-to-mid level feature-length fiction film producers. The goal of the Fiction Toolbox Programme is to endow fiction creatives from marginalized and underrepresented groups with market intelligence, business tools and connections.

Dubois is a writer, director and producer. She founded her own production company MéMO FILMS in 2018 in which she produced the short film Lune, directed by Zoé Pelchat (Dominos). In 2020, she received support from SODEC for the development of her feature films: Les enfants de l’État and EMMAC Terre marine, as well as support from FIP/FMC for the development of its futuristic web series Booster Station. She also collaborates with Denys Desjardins on the content of the documentary web series L’industrie de la vieillesse (tou.tv) and is producing the second season of the documentary series Quand Benoit est là! for the Zeste chain (TVA). JETS, Junior Entertainment Talent Slate, united 1st, 2nd and 3rd feature film filmmakers with Canadian, German, Irish, Norwegian, Austrian, British, South African, and US producers, sales agents, finance and distribution companies during a day of pitching and networking sessions with the aim of encouraging coproduction. Six to ten films will be selected and considered for possible funding by participating agencies.

ARCTIC INDIGENOUS FILMMAKING: CROSS-BORDER COLLABORATIONS WITH ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY IN MIND

Join Telefilm Canada for a moderated discussion with Indigenous Screen Office CEO Kerry Swanson and International Sami Film Institute Director Anne-Lajla Utsi. We will discuss concrete actions in the last year: new partnerships, programs, and infrastructure, that support the economic and environmental sustainability of Arctic Indigenous filmmaking in Arctic communities, both in Canada and internationally. Learn about upcoming initiatives and call on European nations to support the cross-border collaboration for Arctic Indigenous filmmakers.
