Just last month, Beyond Fest’s Los Angeles retrospective, Cronenberg With Cronenberg: A Retrospective of the New Flesh, screened 13 Cronenberg films (including Shivers, Scanners, Dead Ringers, The Fly, Naked Lunch, A History of Violence, Crash, and more) and hosted three sold-out panels featuring the iconic director himself and guests Debbie Harry, Geena Davis, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Howard Shore. Supported by the Consulate General of Canada, Telefilm Canada co-presented the event at the American Cinematheque’s partner for the annual Canada Now film festival.
Among his many awards and accolades, Cronenberg also recently took home a lifetime achievement award at the 75th Venice International Film Festival this past September.
