Have a Cronenberg Halloween

30 • 10

While there’s no wrong time to be bewitched by a David Cronenberg film, the onset of Halloween just might add some extra fright to the occasion, as the Toronto-born filmmaker is considered to be one of Canada’s most provocative directors and the King of Body Horror.

But fear not! Head to Rendezvous Canada iTunes store for a dedicated Cronenberg iTunes collection this season. The exclusive promotional boutique is stocked with all your favourite Cronenberg masterpieces, from box office hits to cult classics.

And Halloween aside, it’s the perfect time to satisfy your Cronenberg fix. Just last month, Beyond Fest’s Los Angeles retrospective, Cronenberg With Cronenberg: A Retrospective of the New Flesh, screened 13 Cronenberg films (including Shivers, Scanners, Dead Ringers, The Fly, Naked Lunch, A History of Violence, Crash, and more) and hosted three sold-out panels featuring the iconic director himself and guests Debbie Harry, Geena Davis, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Howard Shore. Supported by the Consulate General of Canada, Telefilm Canada co-presented the event at the American Cinematheque’s partner for the annual Canada Now film festival.

Among his many awards and accolades, Cronenberg also recently took home a lifetime achievement award at the 75th Venice International Film Festival this past September.

Rendezvous Canada iTunes store’s Cronenberg collection is available to both Canadian and American audiences. So sneak a piece and curl up with some of the best cinema of Canada (and of Cronenberg).
