With more than 11 films in competition and 6 additional titles featured in out‑of‑competition sections and special programmes, Canada stands out as a powerhouse at the festival. At the market, the Canada Pavilion offers a large space for meetings with the international animation industry, while dedicated programming showcases works in progress and pitch of upcoming projects in development or projects ready for screens looking for new partnerships.
As part of the market, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with company delegates, studios, creatives and more at the Canada Pavilion (D.02), located in the “Stands & Pavilions Area” beside the Impérial Palace.

New this year: CANADA MORNING!
Canada is strengthening its presence at MIFA 2026(site externe) through the new programming initiative Canada Morning!, a flagship event led by Telefilm Canada in collaboration with its partners. It brings together key industry players and all Canadian broadcasters for the first time in Annecy, featuring a strategic panel, project pitches, and networking opportunities. The event highlights Canada’s innovation, partnerships, and leadership in animation.

Join leading Canadian producers and public broadcasters for an exclusive showcase of six animated series projects actively looking for partners.
Followed by a networking coffee (open only to pitch session attendees).

Join us for an unprecedented panel where Canadian public broadcasters will share their strategies and engage with international counterparts, such as
France Télévisions and RTBF.
