If you’re going to MIPCOM, we’ve got a great chance to learn about some of what it takes to succeed internationally within today’s shifting media landscape, thanks to the experience of a few leaders of Canadian audiovisual companies! Organized by Telefilm Canada, Canada Media Fund, and CBC/Radio-Canada to shine a light on successful Canadian businesses, this panel at MIPCOM is sure to be lively and inspiring, with international success among its themes. (MIPCOM is must attend event dedicated to financing, co-production, acquisitions and sales of audiovisual content on all platforms. This large international market takes place from October 15 to 18, 2018 in Cannes, France).

The panel, Showbizz Success in Today’s World!, will feature three speakers, all leaders of exceptional Canadian companies that have positioned themselves internationally as a result of their having developed innovative business models. (Since MIPCOM’s overall conference and events theme this year is The Big Shift – Transitioning to a reshaped media landscape, it goes without saying that the topic of finding success within this landscape, both in Canada and internationally, is very relevant!)

This exciting conversation on leadership and successful programming in a tumultuous media landscape will be hosted by CBC/Radio-Canada and moderated by Catherine Tait, who is the first woman to lead Canada’s national broadcaster. The speakers are: Marie-Claude Beauchamp, President and Producer, Carpediem Film & TV; Tassie Cameron, Executive Producer and Co-Founder, Cameron Pictures; and Christina Jennings, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Shaftesbury.

All these participants will offer fascinating insights and inspiration that’s not to be missed!

The panel will take place on Tuesday October 16 from 14:00 to 14:30 PM at Palais des festivals – Auditorium A (level 3).  For the complete Canadian programming at MIPCOM, including the Canada Pavilion, please do keep your eyes on our programming page.
