Blue Heron

Directed by Sophy Romvari, Blue Heron is a Canada-Hungary coproduction (Nine Behind Productions, Boddah). The film has been showcased at numerous international festivals, including Locarno, San Sebastian, BFI London, Thessaloniki, Mannheim-Heidelberg (IFFMH) and Gijón (FICX).

It won the Swatch First Feature Award and the Junior Jury Award at Locarno, as well as the Best Canadian Discovery Award at TIFF 2025.

THE THINGS YOU KILL

Directed by Alireza Khatami, The Things You Kill is a Canada-France-Poland-Turkey coproduction. Produced by Tell Tall Tale, Fulgurance, Remora Films, Lava Films, Band With Pictures, and Sineaktif, the film premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Directing Award World Cinema Dramatic.It was subsequently presented at numerous international festivals, including Rotterdam (IFFR), Hong Kong (FILMART), Durban (DIFF), and Istanbul (IFF).

The film is officially representing Canada in the race for the 2026 Academy Awards® for Best International Feature Film.
