Personal Information Collection Statement – account creation and submission of content on RDV CANADA

In order to complete your promotional card on RDV CANADA (hereinafter the “Platform”), we require certain personal information from you. This Statement explains the purposes for collecting and using that information.

Display of your profile on the Platform

Personal information is collected in order to display your profile, your accomplishments, projects and partnerships on the Platform. Such information may include your name, position, e-mail address, city of residence, phone number and your image. The name, filmography, and other personal information of members of the creative personnel involved with the projects you submit may also be included, as appropriate.

The collection and use of such personal information are in accordance with the Privacy Act and are in line with Telefilm Canada’s mission as specified in section 10 of the Telefilm Canada Act. Such information will be published on the Platform and may be used for promotional purposes as well as statistical, evaluation and reporting purposes. The information is included in the personal information banks Public Communications (PSU 914) and Outreach Activities (PSU 938).

When communicating via e-mail, personal information will transit via Microsoft’s Office 365 platform, which handles and stores information on behalf of Telefilm Canada. Please note that this information may be handled and/or stored outside Canada in accordance with the policies of such service providers, which are available at the following link(s).

Newsletter Sign-Up

Personal information is collected in order to sign you up for the newsletter so that you can received information via e-mail. Among other things, such information includes your e-mail address, your name, your preferred language and your location (province and country).
