This year&#8217;s forum included 12 documentaries and 10 features in development coming from 18 countries \u2014 including a Canadian project! Her 2014 feature,<em> Boundaries (Pays) <\/em>made waves on the festival circuit and was nominated for loads of prizes including Best Canadian Feature Film at the Toronto Film Festival. And in 2013, her first feature,<em> Sarah Prefers to Run (Sarah pr\u00e9f\u00e8re la course)<\/em> debuted at the Cannes Film Festival\u2019s<em> Un Certain Regard<\/em> section!<\/li><\/ul><h5 id=\"\">\u00a0<\/h5><h5 id=\"first-cut-lab-trieste\">First Cut Lab Trieste<\/h5><ul><li><strong>Soph<\/strong><strong>ie Jarvis\u2019 <em>Invasions<br \/><\/em><\/strong>Produced by <a href=\"https:\/\/rdvcanada.ca\/en\/creating-with-canada\/find-creative-partners\/producers\/sara-blake\/\">Sara Blake of Cer<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/rdvcanada.ca\/en\/creating-with-canada\/find-creative-partners\/producers\/sara-blake\/\">oma Films<\/a>, and co-produced by Magali Gillon-Krizaj (<a href=\"https:\/\/rdvcanada.ca\/en\/creating-with-canada\/find-creative-partners\/companies\/reign-films\/\">Reign Films, Canada<\/a>), <a href=\"https:\/\/rdvcanada.ca\/en\/creating-with-canada\/find-creative-partners\/producers\/tyler-hagan\/\">Tyler Hagan<\/a> (Experimental Forest Films, Canada), Michela Pini and Olga Lamontanara (Cin\u00e9dokk\u00e9, Switzerland this Canada-Switzerland co-production was one of just three feature films selected to take part in this editing workshop for films in post-production! Through custom feedback and expert consultations, the First Cut Lab focuses on both creative and business aspects of films. As for <em>Invasions<\/em>, as its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ceromafilms.com\/invasions\">synopsis explains<\/a>, the psychological drama explores what happens when a pregnant worker finds an insect in a peach and tries to convince her community of imminent danger.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-a0e819b elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"a0e819b\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-fbecf57\" data-id=\"fbecf57\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-12f047b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"12f047b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 id=\"wemw-inspirational-labs\">WEMW Inspirational Labs<\/h5><p>Inspiration was the name of the game at these workshop lab sessions that featured our Canadian participants.<\/p><ul><li><p><strong>ANIMA SPIRIT Lab<br \/><\/strong>Canadian producer <a href=\"https:\/\/rdvcanada.ca\/en\/creating-with-canada\/find-creative-partners\/producers\/francine-zuckerman\/\">Francine Zuckerman<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/rdvcanada.ca\/en\/creating-with-canada\/find-creative-partners\/companies\/z-films\/\">Z films Canada<\/a>) was our homegrown participant of this animation inspirational lab, which focused on group work, individual consultancies, and financial and creative lectures. The goal? To empower producers to take the leap from live action to animated film production. (P.S. One of this workshop\u2019s leaders was Jelena Popovi\u0107 of the National Film Board of Canada!)<\/p><\/li><\/ul><ul><li data-leveltext=\"\u25cf\" data-font=\"\" data-listid=\"6\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><p><strong>COLD OPEN Lab<br \/><\/strong>Canadian producers <a href=\"https:\/\/rdvcanada.ca\/en\/creating-with-canada\/find-creative-partners\/producers\/ziad-touma\/\">Ziad Touma<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/rdvcanada.ca\/en\/creating-with-canada\/find-creative-partners\/companies\/couzin-films\/\">Couzin Films<\/a>) and Ana\u00eblle B\u00e9glet (<a href=\"https:\/\/rdvcanada.ca\/en\/creating-with-canada\/find-creative-partners\/companies\/art-essai\/\">Art et Essai<\/a>) were among those selected for this drama series lab for feature film producers wanting to expand their work into dramatic series! COLD OPEN aimed to foster hands-on skills producers can put into action in the development, production, and financing of serialized drama content projects.<\/p><\/li><li data-leveltext=\"\u25cf\" data-font=\"\" data-listid=\"6\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><p><strong>IMPACT PYRAMID Lab<br \/><\/strong>Canada\u2019s Caroline Bergoin (Terre Innue) and Hedyeh (Hedy) Bozorgzadeh (Remembrance Pictures) took part in this co-creation workshop.
