The Locarno Film Festival<\/a> is renowned for its varied program focused on the discovery, new trends and passion for auteur cinema. Recognized as one of the major showcases in Europe and a convivial networking event for distributors, buyers, producers, filmmakers, and journalists.<\/span><\/p>

This year\u2019s official selection includes three Canadian productions<\/strong>: NOBODY’S VIOLENCE<\/strong> by Denis C\u00f4t\u00e9<\/b>, a festival regular, and MANHUNT<\/strong>, the second feature film by Wayne Wapeemukwa<\/b>, both competing in the Concorso Internazionale<\/a> section, as well as the short film PILUK, <\/b>a short animation collaboration between Inuk musician Elisapie Isaac<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>and painter and novelist Marc S\u00e9guin<\/strong><\/span><\/b>, competing in the Pardi di Domani: Concorso Internazionale<\/a> section.<\/p>

The festival will also honor actress Asia Argento with a Life Achievement Award<\/em> and screen Jorge Thielen Armand<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0DEATH HAS NO MASTER,<\/b> a Canada-Venezuela-Italy-Luxembourg coproduction starring Argento that premiered earlier this year at Cannes\u2019 Quinzaine des Cin\u00e9astes.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
