What you need to know on SXSW 2018

The audiovisual industry shined bright at SXSW this year with:

  • 16 Canadian films and projects, including three new features: First Light, The New Romantic, and What Keeps You Alive. All three features made their world premieres at the SXSW Film Festival!
  • More than 500 attendees at the RDV Canada bungalow each day (from March 11-13th)
  • Screenings, virtual and augmented reality projects, and live performances by Canadian musicians Milk & Bone, Pierre Kwenders, and Kardinal Offishall. 

Canada WINS

  • The New Romantic won special Jury Recognition for First Feature
  • My Dead Dad’s Porno Tapes won Best Documentary Short
  • Milk won Best Midnight Short
